The Classless Transferee's Skill Copy - Chapter 69
Chapter 69: Rendvell Games, Block B
“After the excitement that block A brought us, it’s time now for block B to begin!”
The announcer was really giving it his all, huh…
Well, anyone would be shocked if they saw Yuugure’s power.
Despite being a nobody, he could beat the best of the best and advance to the finals.
In the bleachers…
“So Yuugure uses dual pistols?!”
“Indeed. It seems as though you were unaware.”
“No way we would know,” Eim said as she glared at Anatos.
“Phew, I’m finally here…”
“Where’d you go off to?”
“Onee-san contacted me. Jeez, we talked for a while.”
Grumbling as she spoke, she sat next to Lulu.
Then, she grimaced at Meryl and the rest.
“Yuugure Kiriya won block A, right? What block is Aruto in?”
“Aruto-san is in block C!”
“I see. I made it in time, then.”
Relieved, Kylie turned to look at the monitor.
The monitor displayed Glenn and Snow.
“Glenn-onii-chan’s there, huh?”
“Oh! Snow’s there too!”
“This is shaping up to be an amazing battle. Snow Crowzell, the solo adventurer, is in the same block as the leader of the Crimson Lotus Flame guild, Glenn Abiss. By the way, do you know who they are?”
Having been asked the question of whether she knew who they were, Lulu answered.
“Yes! The both of them are Aruto’s friends!”
Kylie was satisfied with this answer and turned to look back at the monitor.
“The people in block B are pretty strong too! Not only do we have the Barrage of Light, the solo adventurer Snow Crowzell, but we also have the guild leader of Crimson Lotus Flame, the Fierce Flame Blade Glenn Abiss!!”
Huh, he’s been doing that for a while now, but that commentator’s been giving out weird monikers…
I really didn’t want a strange nickname…
One after another, the announcer shouted out the names of the participants, and block B began.
“Alright! Let’s go!”
Glenn’s shouts could be heard through the monitor.
Glenn ran in boldly, while Snow walked in calmly.
I couldn’t say for sure, but Glenn and Snow would probably end up coming to blows at some point.
If two adventurers were tied in the number of enemies they defeated, they’d have to face off against each other as a tiebreaker.
With those two, that happening was totally possible.
Covering his sword in flames, Glenn swallowed up the opposition.
The crowd went wild.
The flames, which would typically already cause severe burns at contact, reduced the participants’ stamina to zero.
After checking to see that his opponents had vanished, Glenn once again ran off….
Meanwhile, Snow faced off against a large group of enemies.
In contrast to Glenn’s show of bravado, he quickly finished off his opponents with sharp, agile attacks.
Rapiers were all about quickly thrusting at opponents – about agility.
This is what Snow excelled in.
That’s why I was interested in a fight between Glenn, who excelled in powerful, showy attacks, and Snow, who excelled in agility.
As we watched Snow and Glenn fight on the monitors, Dimgart and I had a discussion with each other.
“Onii-chan, between the two of those guys, who would win?”
Between Snow and Glenn, who would win?
To be frank, I didn’t know.
“I don’t know. Both of them are truly powerful. If they were to face each other head-on, I have no clue who would win.”
Thirty minutes later, Glenn and Snow never wound up facing each other.
Both of them had defeated everyone who came after them, so their elimination counts were definitely high.
When the number of their eliminations was displayed, both Glenn and Snow ended up with fifty.
I didn’t think they’d really end up with the same number of eliminations.
“What?! They both have the same number of eliminations! With this, Snow Crowzell will be facing off in a tiebreaker against Glenn Abiss!”
As the commentator announced this, the tension in the crowd reached its peak.
They didn’t have any time limit to worry about, so the battle was sure to be great…
Glenn and Snow were transported to the battlefield that was prepared for them.
Both of them looked all too eager to enjoy themselves.
“I never thought we’d be fighting like this on equal terms, Glenn.”
“Really? I saw this coming.”
They shared a laugh as though they were best friends having a friendly bout with each other.
But this was probably the first time they’ve met.
Both of them didn’t know what the other had up their sleeves, after all.
“Sorry, but I’ll be the one winning this match and heading to the finals.”
“Nope, that’d be me.”
As the countdown to the match started, the two of them readied their weapons.
The crowd couldn’t wait for the fight to start and murmured amongst themselves during the countdown.
As the countdown ended, both of them lunged at each other.
Glenn’s sword and Snow’s rapier met.
They clashed against each other multiple times until finally, Glenn’s flaming sword was about to strike Snow. Snow stepped back and dodged it.
Following up on his backstep, Snow then drew closer to Glenn, then thrust his rapier at him multiple times!
Glenn somehow managed to defend against the quick thrusts and prepared his counterattack.
However, Snow’s barrage was too fast for Glenn to keep pace with, and he was hit several times, being sent flying backward.
After Glenn landed on the ground, he used Pillar of Flame right under Snow’s feet, but Snow evaded the attack…
“You’ve got some really speedy attacks, man…!”
Checking to see how much stamina he had left, Glenn exhaled and wiped his sweat off.
“As for you, you’re so powerful that if I waver for even a moment, you’ll hit me so hard all my stamina will be gone.”
It seemed as though due to Snow’s agility, he had the upper hand…
“Well, guess I’ve gotta match you… “Flamespeed!”
Covering his legs in flames, Glenn approached Snow.
Even Snow was unable to keep up with the speed, and he received a blazing kick.
“I won’t let you do any more than this!”
Snow raised his speed in order to keep up with Glenn, and the two of them exchanged blows, getting even faster.
I wonder if the spectators could keep up with their speed?
But to think that Glenn had this sort of speed-raising special skill…
After the two of them exchanged blows for a while, they stepped back from each other.
Looking closely, both of them were about to run out of strength.
“Hah… hah…! Glenn, it seems like we’re both at the limits of our stamina….”
“So it seems… In that case, this next move will decide it! Enflame!”
“That’s what I wanted! Flash Charge!”
Glenn’s body was covered in flame, while Snow’s body was covered in light as they prepared for their big moves.
Glenn raised his sword up high, covering it in flames, forming a colossal sword of fire overhead.
On the other hand, Snow pulled his sword arm back and formed a huge drill of light along the body of his rapier.
“Great Scorching Sword!”
Glenn brought down his fiery sword while Snow thrust forward his drill of light.
The fiery sword and the drill of light collided, causing shockwaves and smoke as both energies collided.
After a while, the smoke cleared, and the person standing there was…
“Hah… hah… seems like I won!”
Snow was there….
And since Glenn was nowhere to be found…
“A-and the winner is… Snow Crowzell!”
Even the commentator was bewildered by the battle, but he soon came back to his senses and announced the victor.
The spectators cheered as well…
A few moments later, Glenn and Snow made it back to the waiting room.
“Damn, I lost!”
Glenn screamed, but he wasn’t frustrated at all.
He gave it his all, after all—there was no reason for him to be frustrated.
Snow offered him his hand.
“That was a good fight. I’m glad, Glenn.”
Seeing his outstretched hand, Glenn chuckled and shook it.
“Next time around, I won’t lose!”
It was just as Glenn said. If they were to really fight another time, I didn’t know who would come out on top then.
I walked up to them as they shook hands.
“Good work, you two. That was a good fight!”
“Heheh! Thanks, Aruto!”
“You’re up next, Aruto.”
Indeed I was.
If I’ve gotten up to here, there was no way I’d put on a pathetic show!
“Participants in block C, please gather up!”
Following the announcer’s instructions, I left the waiting room.
