The Classless Transferee's Skill Copy - Chapter 19
Chapter 19: Classless and Peerless
Upon seeing me, the monsters had an uproar and glared at me.
“A-Aruto-kun!? Meryl-chan too!”
“Why are you here…? More importantly, what are you doing!?”
“We’ll talk later. Meryl, cure them with Heal.”
I didn’t answer Veig’s question, and instead gave commands to Meryl. Then, I prepared for combat.
At a glance, there were still over three hundred monsters…
I could defeat them one by one, but that’d be a pain. I started summoning a stormcloud above their heads.
But before I could finish summoning it, the monsters attacked me all at once.
Hm, they’re slow.
I built up energy, and just as the monsters were about to hit me, I released a ray of light, and enveloped in light, the monsters vanished.
After checking that stormclouds had formed, I swung my arm and used Thunder Bolt, causing a bolt of lightning to strike the monsters on the ground.
I took down the airborne monsters with Dimension Bullet and Wind Cutter.
“Wh…!? What’s this skill!?”
“W-wait, Aruto-kun, aren’t you classless!?”
Garuna and Veig-san couldn’t hide their surprise at me using skills that classless people normally would not have been able to use.
While healing the two injured people, Meryl explained.
“They’re skills Aruto-san picked up in that dungeon!”
For a moment, they looked at Meryl, then quickly shifted their gazes to me. The Knight Captain Luke Volndt was absolutely shocked to the point of being stunned…
And then, I faced off against the Strong Kong.
This guy’s arm strength was phenomenal… and I was going to use it to my advantage!
Using Brainjack, I brainwashed the Strong Kong.
The brainwashed Strong Kong cleaved through the enemy monsters. When their numbers were reduced, I used Poison Stab to take down the Strong Kong.
I looked around me and found that there were no monsters in sight. Eh? Have they all already been defeated?
I shifted my gaze to Veig and the others and saw their mouths still hung open, seemingly unable to process the information.
I will need to give them an explanation…
The moment I thought that, a fireball was shot towards me.
I blocked it with Barrier and turned to where the fireball was shot from. While letting out a high-pitched cry, a giant red bird of prey—a Flame Falcon— descended.
So it was that thing that shot the fireball.
“What do we do about the Flame Falcon?!”
I told my thoughts to Garuna, who was having doubts due to the entry of the Flame Falcon.
“Perhaps this thing’s the leader of the monsters.”
In other words, this one was the last one.
“Don’t worry. Compared to Raphael… this bird’s a mere chick!”
As Meryl called my name, I calmly used Wing to fly right up to the bird.
The Flame Falcon aimed a fireball at me, but I sent it back with Reflect, while counterattacking with Light Wave and Wing Slasher.
The Flame Falcon took a direct hit from both Light Wave and Wing Slasher, suffering considerable damage.
However, this time it sent out a flamethrower.
Without the option to run, I used Atomization, and then damaged it using Splash.
Angry at being attacked so many times, the Flame Falcon rose up and enveloped itself in flames, then it did a dive tackle.
Let’s call it Fire Tackle for now.
“Huh, seems like a powerful skill. Give that to me!”
I avoided the fiery rush using Emergency Evade, then put out the flames on the falcon using Gust.
I drew closer to the Flame Falcon, falling due to the force of Gust, using Flash.
“Thunder Slash! Uoooooo!”
I held out Enzetta, which had electricity coursing through its blade, and slashed the falling Flame Falcon wide open, electrocuting it during the process.
Cut open by Thunder Slash, the Flame Falcon fell to the ground with a thud and died.
After making sure it was dead, I landed on the ground, deactivated Wing, and used Skill Copy. Words were etched in my head.
<You have learned the special skills “Pyroform” and “Extinguish.”>
<You have learned the skills “Fire Punch,” “Fire Slash,” “Fire Blast,” “Fireball,” “Flamethrower,” and “Fire Tackle.”>
Ooh, that’s a ton of fire-based skills!
After checking the skills and special skills I’d obtained, I walked up to Veig, Garuna, Luke-san, and Meryl.
“D-did you win, Aruto?”
Hearing my answer, the other knights and adventurers shrieked in joy.
“Could it be…? This level of power…”
Luke-san took an interest in my strength.
…um, it’d be nice if I didn’t get into anything bothersome…
As I thought about that, Garuna hugged me, causing me to fall backward.
“Thank goodness… Aruto-kun! You’re alive! You’re alive!”
Garuna made sure I was alive many times in between sobs. Hey, that hug’s too tight!
“Hey, Garuna! It’s too tight! And, uh, those things are hitting me!
And those things are huge!
“Thank goodness… I was worried!”
Ah, I’m going to end up having to listen to this.
Meryl glared daggers at me.
I looked at Veig to ask for help, but all I got in return was a super irritating smile and a thumbs-up.
This guy…! Don’t make this someone else’s problem!
After this, it took some time for Garuna to stop crying…
